I'm a 24 year old SAHM, and I have two daughters ages 6 and 3. My husband, also 24, is in the Army.

I was working towards a degree in Accounting through the University of Phoenix Online, then decided Accounting wasn't my dream anymore. I am now working on being an RN. My goal is to be a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.

The husband and I aren't in any serious debt. Although, we recently purchased a new crossover for $30K which we plan on paying off within the next year.

I chose to keep this blog to help me keep track of my finances, keep away from debt, and to remind me of my goals/dreams.

2010 Goals

**Financial**
[X] Save $1,000 for Rainy Day Fund
[ ] Payoff at least $15,000 on the Car Loan by the end of the year w/Army bonus money. (Depending on how much we get from bonus)
[ ] Open a Savings account for both munchkins, and save $600 for each account by the end of the year.
[ ] Raise credit score to the 700s.

**Personal**
[ ] Get back to 120 pounds by January 2010, and maintain weight.
[ ] Receive nothing lower than a "B" in classes.

Mo Money Mo Problems

It really irritates me that when my husband and I PCS to a new base, we always manage to get ourselves into credit debt. It takes us almost three years to get out of it, one year to live debt free, and one month to get us back in it. It�s a vicious cycle.

Something needs to change.

A few months ago, we PCS�d to Ft. Carson, bought a house, and also managed to max out our credit cards � again. I�m contemplating on starting a blog about my journey to living completely debt free � this is including the mortgage and our Commissary Assault Vehicle (CAV). To start small, I think I�m just going to start with the credit debt first. Once those area fully paid off, I will concentrate more on the mortgage and CAV. I�ll talk more of it tomorrow.

Moving is hard on finances, there is no question about it... it leads to a lot of stress, and even with the military help for PCSing there is no insurance that it won't cost a lot out of pocket. I hope that you will blog your experiences for others to learn from! Good luck...
